Crown Flour Mill Limited is a subsidiary of Olam Group, an Agro-Allied Industry, located at KM3, Afon Road Ogbondoroko, Ilorin, Kwara stateOlam International Limited (“Olam” or “the Company”), a leading global, integrated supply chain manager and processor of agricultural products and food ingredients, today announced the proposed expansion of its wheat milling capacity at Crown Flour Mills (“CFM”) in Nigeria for a total outlay of about US$ 50 million.
Nigeria currently imports approximately 4 million MT of wheat per annum which finds application in bread, noodles, biscuits and pasta. The growing demand for these convenience products which are largely consumed in urban centres is driven by GDP growth of ~6.8% and the growth in urban population at a rate of ~3.8% per annum.
